Day 1 - Paragliding, Rafting & Calderas River Adventure

ou will arrive on your own at the paragliding take-off area in Cocorná to begin your adventure with a tandem flight above mountains, tropical forests, and waterfalls of Eastern Antioquia.

Once your flight is complete, you will continue on your own to the operational base to prepare for your rafting experience on the Calderas River, navigating approximately 15 km of Class III–IV rapids surrounded by jungle canyons and spectacular scenery.

At the end of the activity, local transportation is included to take you to your rural farmhouse accommodation surrounded by nature.

Day 2 - Hiking through Waterfalls Valley

After breakfast, you will continue to the trailhead to begin an approximately 12 km ecological hike through the Waterfalls Valley. Along the route, you will cross tropical rainforest, natural trails, rivers, and multiple hidden waterfalls surrounded by mountains.

You will have time to enjoy the natural surroundings, relax, and connect with one of Antioquia’s most spectacular landscapes before returning in the afternoon.

Start-point

The tour starts at our operational office in Cocorná. For added convenience, optional transportation is available from Hostel Masaya Medellín to the meeting point. Alternative pick-up locations can be arranged upon request, subject to availability and an additional fee depending on the location.

What is the food like ?

During the experience, you will enjoy local meals designed for adventure and outdoor activities. Lunch will be served as a traditional Colombian fiambre-style meal, ideal for recharging energy during the journey. Vegetarian and vegan options can be arranged in advance for travelers with dietary restrictions.

Dinners are not included. Our operational office is located next to Palacio de los Frijoles, where you can find a variety of meal options according to your preferences.

What is the accomodation like ?

Enjoy an authentic rural farmhouse where comfort blends with the serenity of the tropical rainforest, offering the perfect sanctuary to unwind in the heart of nature.

What is the weather like?

The experience takes place within the Samaná River basin, a region with a warm humid tropical climate surrounded by mountains, crystal-clear rivers, and lush rainforest landscapes. Temperatures usually range between 20°C and 30°C (68°F–86°F), creating ideal conditions for outdoor adventure and nature experiences.
