Day 1 - Cloud Forests and Mountain Farm
The adventure begins early in Santa Marta or Minca, leaving the Caribbean coastline behind as you journey deep into the mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
After driving toward the small village of La Tagua, visit a traditional coffee farm and discover the artisanal coffee culture of the region. Continue hiking through misty cloud forests, rural mountain trails, and lush tropical landscapes before reaching Santa Elena, a remote eco-farm surrounded by nature and panoramic valley views.
The afternoon is spent relaxing in the mountains, sharing stories with local hosts, and enjoying a traditional homemade dinner in this peaceful setting.

Day 2 - Sunrise at Cerro Kennedy and Return
Before sunrise, begin the ascent toward Cerro Kennedy through mountain trails, high-altitude vegetation, and mist-covered landscapes.
After approximately 3 to 4 hours of hiking, reach one of Colombia’s most spectacular viewpoints, with panoramic views over the snow-capped peaks of Colón and Bolívar, the Sierra Nevada, and the Caribbean coastline.
After enjoying sunrise above the mountains, descend back to the farmhouse for lunch before continuing the return journey toward Minca or Santa Marta.

The meeting point is coordinated in advance with the Expedition Colombia team in Santa Marta or Minca.
The tour includes local 4×4 transportation during the expedition into the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Travelers can begin the experience either from Santa Marta or directly from Minca.

Conditions can shift quickly between sunshine, mist, wind, and light rain, especially during early mornings and late afternoons.
